There’s no doubt that “life as we knew it” is gone. But if there’s anything I’ve learned in the last three months, it’s that adversity creates opportunities to pivot and thrive.
That’s why I titled this email “Life as you want to create it.” Because right now, in this moment of change, what an opportunity we individually and collectively have to push the RESET button.
If you’re like many of the people I know, there were some aspects of pre-COVID living that weren’t working for you. For example, I have clients who have bits and pieces of their life puzzle in order; who on the outside look all “put together” and “happy” and even feel like everything is “okay.” But when asked to deeply reflect on their health and life, they realize that many things could be different and better. Such as:
That annoying fat around their belly
Not feeling refreshed after a night of (often disrupted) sleep
Their energy dips and crashes in the afternoon
And a whole array of puzzling GI (digestive) symptoms such as bloating, “heavy feeling” in stomach, and inconsistent bowel movements
All of these can lead to anxiety, embarrassment and grumpiness….
But it doesn’t have to be this way. The good news is these are exactly the kinds of issues I can help with!
One of my clients, Emily, came to me experiencing years of GI distress, uncontrollable bowel movements, trouble digesting rich foods, and acid reflux. The combination of all the GI symptoms and not knowing what to eat or not eat was causing overall stress to her mind and body, too. We immediately made some simple changes to her diet and added in a few supplements to calm her GI upset.
After just 3 weeks, she was already having daily and consistent bowel movements, and was feeling more comfortable going out to dinner with friends, choosing the foods I recommended as alternatives to what was causing the distress.

Once she began adding these in, she finally had the freedom to travel and socialize with ease and joy, and not be embarrassed by having to leave the table to use the bathroom. It was life changing!
When Emily and I wrapped up our work together at six months, she reported having consistent energy throughout the day (no more slowness getting the day started or late evening surges of energy!) and had started a yoga practice. She was feeling calmer and “brighter.” She felt empowered to choose the foods that would nourish her body without all the GI discomfort and embarrassing symptoms. She was finally in control of her health and felt better than ever.
